‘Hors d’Haleine’ is an emotional drama about Emma who arrives in the middle of the night at a refuge for women in distress. In this new environment, Emma rediscovers facets of herself that she had buried thanks to the bonds and unlikely friendship she forms with a group of women and children. Each woman’s traumas intertwine and, despite their differences, a delicate sisterhood emerges that inspires them all to fight to regain their dignity and independence.
