The CNA, Actors.lu and LARS are joining forces to offer a unique course combining exploration of the Meisner technique and scene work in collaboration with Luxembourg directors.
The course will begin with 5 days of immersion (from 2 to 6 December 2024) in the Meisner technique, enabling actors to deepen their ability to play with truth and spontaneity in imaginary circumstances. Guided by Pico Berkowitch, you will discover tools for analysing and preparing scenes.
The following 4 days (14 to 16 December 2024 and 3 February 2025) will be devoted to shooting and viewing scenes. This work will be done under the guidance of directors who have themselves explored the Meisner technique as actors. This experimental context is a unique opportunity to meet and collaborate with Luxembourg directors, without the pressure of results, and to encourage a rich dialogue between actors and directors, paving the way for potential creative collaborations.
The filmed scenes will be used to document the process, followed by a screening to analyse the result and compare it with the experience of working on stage.
